Job Description
The Engineering Draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce accurate and detailed blueprints using CAD software. The role involves translating specifications and sketches into comprehensive technical plans, maintaining documentation, conducting site visits, and supporting construction and manufacturing activities. The position requires expertise in CAD tools, technical drawing principles, and a solid understanding of engineering concepts and standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Create detailed architectural and engineering drawings from specifications and sketches
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and professionals to meet design requirements
Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to draft and revise technical plans
Review and update drawings to align with project specifications and standards
Support troubleshooting during construction and manufacturing processes
Maintain organized documentation and drawing records
Conduct site visits to collect data and verify specifications
Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and relevant technologies
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and project teams
Report directly to the Spare Parts & Planning Manager

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field
1–2 years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks
Experience with BIM software is a plus
Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and engineering concepts
Good organizational and teamwork skills
Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project
Excellent communication and attention to detail
