Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Team member (Well Control)
Organisation: CNOOC Enertech International (U) Limited
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
As part of the Emergency Team, this individual shall provide Well Control Emergency services on site.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Daily maintenance, inspection and repair of well control emergency equipment.
Understand the working principle of fire pump and cutting equipment and operate well control emergency rescue equipment according to order. Be able to read equipment design drawings, and disassemble/install equipment according to equipment drawings.
Ensure normal operation of well control equipment and resolve failures immediately
In case of blowout, implement well control emergency rescue.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or the related
At least 5 years of experience in well control emergency rescue.
Additional required knowledge:
International well control certificate for IADC
H2S protection training certificate for petroleum site operation
Safety & survival certificate for petroleum site operation or other similar certificates.
With more than 5 years of well control emergency rescue experience.
Deep understanding of well control emergency operation.
Be familiar with a variety of well control emergence equipment such as fire pump, area gas monitor, thermal imager etc.
