Position: Electrotechnician

Contract: Full-time, with occasional evening and weekend support for technical emergencies
Sector: Electric Mobility / Maintenance / Assembly & Quality Control
Travel: Approximately 10%

About the Role
As an Electrotechnician, you will independently assemble, wire, test, and validate Zembo’s battery swap cabinets (PDUs) and charging infrastructure. Your work ensures that all electrical components meet technical specifications and safety standards, directly influencing the performance, reliability, and safety of our charging systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assembly & Maintenance
Independently assemble and wire battery swap cabinets, PDUs, and related charging equipment at Zembo HQ.
Interpret wiring diagrams and ensure accurate component integration.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs in the technical workshop.
Conduct thorough functional testing of assembled systems prior to deployment.
Adhere to strict safety protocols when handling high-voltage batteries and components.
Quality Control
Conduct end-of-line validation and quality checks on electrical cabinets and subsystems.
Identify, document, and report any technical anomalies or wiring defects.
Support ongoing improvements to assembly procedures based on lab and field feedback.
Technical Monitoring & Documentation
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Assist in preparing technical documentation including wiring layouts, troubleshooting guides, and inspection reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrotechnics, Industrial Automation, or related field (UBTEB / UNEB / Technical Institute).
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and automation within industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, wiring standards, and diagnostic tools (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.).
Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, system diagrams, and layouts.
Good technical English skills (both written and reading) for manuals and safety protocols.
Experience in e-mobility or solar energy sectors is a plus.
