Job Description
Reporting to the HPC Factory Engineer, the Electrical Technician will carry out planned and preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, and troubleshoot production equipment. The technician will ensure compliance with Unilever’s electrical safety standards, perform risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating performance losses. The role requires collaboration with technical operators, leadership in coaching teams, and active participation in the Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) to optimize factory performance.

How to Apply
Implement preventative and focused maintenance to optimize equipment reliability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues.
Ensure all machines comply with Unilever’s electrical safety standards.
Carry out inspections, calibrations, and quality checks on equipment.
Apply problem-solving tools to eliminate recurring issues.
Monitor workplace hazards and apply risk management principles.
Support sustainability by reducing waste, energy use, and environmental impact.
Promote adherence to quality standards to safeguard product integrity.
Act as a coach and mentor to technical operators on engineering and UMS practices.
Use performance measures and continuous improvement tools to eliminate losses.
Collaborate with factory teams to achieve KPIs on safety, quality, and productivity.
Education: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in a similar role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Proven advanced maintenance experience.
Experience working in team-based project or maintenance environments.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Digital awareness and ability to use modern tools.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team collaboration skills.
