Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technician – Maintenance to support the installation, servicing, and repair of Zembo’s electric charging systems and associated infrastructure across Uganda. This hands-on role involves electrical wiring, component replacement, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance at our field stations and offices.
You’ll be a key player in ensuring the reliability and safety of Zembo’s power systems—contributing directly to a cleaner, smarter transport ecosystem.

How to Apply
Electrical Installation & Maintenance
Install and wire Zembo’s charging cabinets, power distribution units (PDUs), and related hardware at field locations.
Connect charging systems to main grid or solar power sources following standard safety protocols.
Conduct first-level troubleshooting and component replacements on-site.
Perform routine checks, electrical measurements, and safety inspections before commissioning equipment.
Execute all preventive and corrective maintenance activities at stations and offices.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Assist with final inspections of newly assembled systems to ensure quality and standardization.
Follow installation checklists and flag any non-compliance or faults.
Document work done, observations, and recommended improvements for future procedures.
Technical Monitoring & Documentation
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and basic schematics.
Maintain accurate logs of installations, repairs, and inspections.
Contribute to keeping safety and technical documentation current on-site.
Ensure tools and work areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Diploma in Electrical Installation, Industrial Electricity, or related field from a recognized Ugandan institute (UBTEB / UNEB).
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation or maintenance in industrial or commercial settings.
Skilled in working with high-voltage and 3-phase (415V) electrical systems.
Able to safely install machines, wire distribution panels, and connect to power lines.
Competence in lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and circuit isolation is essential.
Familiar with basic electrical troubleshooting tools and safety equipment.
Proficient in technical English for reporting and documentation.
Experience with solar systems, battery technologies, or electric mobility is a strong advantage.
