Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Organisation: Equatorsun Ltd
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
We are currently inviting applications for the position of Electrical Engineer to join the Equatorsun Ltd team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of building services systems (electrical or mechanical)
Assist with project planning, site supervision, and quality assurance
Prepare drawings, reports, and documentation for internal and client use
Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams on sustainable engineering projects
Participate in site assessments, testing, and commissioning
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, technologies, and tools

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Strong academic performance and practical engineering exposure
Proficiency in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Dialux, Revit, or similar)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional setting
Professional integrity and strong attention to detail
Preferred but not required:
Site experience in electrical or mechanical systems installation
Familiarity with East African building codes and sustainable design principles
Membership in a recognized engineering body (e.g., UIPE or ERB registration track)
