Job Description
Education Project Officer role at Youth Social Advocacy Team (YSAT), responsible for frontline delivery and monitoring of the Learning through Play (LtP) curriculum across selected pre-primary and primary schools in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Organise and facilitate professional development workshops, peer-learning circles, and mentorship sessions for teachers on LtP methodologies and LEGO Six Bricks concepts
- Conduct regular support-supervision visits to classrooms and guide teachers in developing playful teaching-learning materials from low-cost local resources
- Facilitate community sensitisation meetings, PTAs, and home-based play sessions to build parental understanding of playful learning
- Oversee the safe, tracked, and equitable distribution of Play Kits, teacher guides, and educational materials
- Partner with the MEAL Officer to routinely collect, clean, and verify school-level data tracking teacher adoption rates and student attendance
