Job Description
Norvik Enterprises Limited is looking for a motivated and experienced Driver to join our team! As a Driver, you will be responsible for delivering packages and driving our clients to their destinations. You will also be responsible for making sure the vehicle is always clean and in good working mechanical condition.
Duties and Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Drive company vehicles with due care and safety taking into consideration prevailing weather and driving conditions to avoid accidents, and to adhere to traffic laws and regulations, and Norvik Enterprise policies and procedures.
Plan and schedule routes plus maintaining an organized travel schedule
Complete the vehicle logbook with record of all trips made and mileage covered daily.
Report accidents immediately to the supervisor and record the incidence
Assisting with loading and unloading the luggage hence the need for physical fitness to lift goods
Delivering packages to customers in a timely manner.
Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
Carry out daily condition checks to ensure that the vehicle is in good running order
Check and ensure validity of road license and insurance and report to the HR/Admin office any required action.
Compile and submit to the supervisor, a monthly report on the status of vehicles, including repairs and maintenance services carried out during the month.
Monitor mileage and initiate the process to service the vehicle
Ensure that the vehicle is always clean, fueled and ready for use in order to uphold the image of Norvik Enterprise and for the convenience of the users.
Conduct weekly routine inspection of the assigned vehicle and write a report stating clearly any observations that needs attention.
Transport packages to and from destinations
Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
Perform any other duties assigned to you by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Competencies
Requirements
Academic qualifications: minimum level of education – O level
Good and safe driving skills for both manual and automatic vehicles
Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations
Proven work experience as a driver or relevant role
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Good knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and city routes
Ability to operate a range of vehicles
Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate unknown routes and occasionally drives long distances
Excellent customer service skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and under pressure
Excellent time-management skills
Flexibility in working hours – the ability to work during weekends and evenings
