Job Description

Vehicle Operation: Safely operate assigned vehicles, following all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. This includes obeying speed limits, traffic signals, and road signs, as well as adjusting driving behavior based on road and weather conditions

  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate assigned vehicles, following all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. This includes obeying speed limits, traffic signals, and road signs, as well as adjusting driving behavior based on road and weather conditions.

  • Transportation: Transport passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations efficiently and on schedule. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers or cargo during transit.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

  • Route Planning: Plan and map out efficient routes to reach destinations, considering factors such as traffic conditions, construction zones, and delivery schedules. Use GPS navigation systems or maps to navigate unfamiliar areas.

  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading cargo or equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of items for transport. Follow loading procedures and safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.

  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers, clients, or customers. Answer questions, provide assistance, and address concerns to ensure a positive experience.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage logs, fuel purchases, and other documentation as required by company policy or regulatory requirements.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or other team members to coordinate schedules, report incidents, and update status during transportation operations.

  • Emergency Response: Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or accidents on the road, following established procedures for reporting incidents, providing first aid (if trained), and ensuring the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists.

  • At least 5 years' experience working with district local governments or NGOs.
