Job Description
The Driver at ENCOT Microfinance Ltd will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for staff, clients, and goods. The driver will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly by transporting personnel to various locations and maintaining the company vehicles in excellent condition.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Safe and Timely Transportation:Provide safe transportation of staff, clients, and goods to designated locations as per the schedule.
Ensure all passengers adhere to safety regulations, including the use of seatbelts.
Transport goods and documents securely to required destinations, ensuring their safety and timely delivery.
Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking oil, tires, lights, and other essential parts.
Schedule regular vehicle servicing and promptly report any defects or mechanical issues for repair.
Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle, both inside and out, at all times.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain an accurate log of all trips, including mileage, destinations, and fuel consumption.
Submit monthly reports on vehicle status, fuel consumption, maintenance needs, and mileage.
Ensure all vehicle-related documents, such as insurance, registration, and inspection certificates, are up-to-date and available in the vehicle.
Compliance and Safety:Comply with all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
Ensure all necessary safety measures are taken, including proper loading and securing of goods.
Promptly report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations encountered while driving.
Client and Staff Support:Assist staff and clients with loading and unloading goods or equipment when necessary. Offer courteous and professional interaction with passengers, ensuring their comfort and addressing any transport-related concerns.
Emergency Response:Be available for emergency or unscheduled trips and provide transportation support during special assignments or urgent operational needs.
Respond swiftly to vehicle breakdowns and assist in coordinating the repair or towing as required.
