Job Description
The Driver is responsible for the efficient, timely, sustainable, and safe transportation of passengers, goods, and materials across the country. This role supports Compassionate Carbon Tanzania Ltd's mission by addressing logistical requirements and ensuring the seamless operation of landscape restoration projects.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive program vehicles to safely transport passengers and cargo to and from destinations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, and prioritize the safety of passengers, cargo, and vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean and in good order and all documentation (e.g. insurance and road license) are up to date.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability, and ensure vehicle is maintained in good condition and undergoes regular servicing.
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
- Keep accurate and timely records of trips, including mileage, destinations, passengers, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Coordinate with staff and stakeholders to plan and execute transportation needs efficiently and to ensure smooth logistical operations.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Other duties as assigned.
