Job Description
The Dispatching Officer is responsible for selecting appropriate transporters for loading export cargo from the Hub and Logistics areas to Mombasa on a daily basis. This role ensures operational readiness, compliance, and service efficiency in the selection and dispatch process.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and select the appropriate transporter from the list of approved contract transporters to support daily export loading operations.
- Prepare and issue Loading Orders to transporters in line with planned dispatch schedules.
- Prepare and issue Road Consignment Notes (RCNs) to facilitate the movement and tracking of export cargo.
- Generate accurate Gate Passes for all trucks loaded with export cargo to ensure compliant and efficient exit procedures.
- Compile and submit a daily report to the immediate Supervisor detailing all export trucks released
- Prepare and submit a monthly report highlighting trucks that arrived with imports and were immediately redeployed for export loading.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor to support seamless logistics and operational efficiency.
