Job Description
As part of the HR & Administration Department, the Dispatch Rider reports to the HR & Administrative Manager and is responsible for transporting pharmaceutical items to clients. The rider ensures accurate delivery, verifies client information, and maintains delivery records. The role also includes performing basic maintenance checks on the motorcycle, resolving delivery issues, and complying with traffic and company safety regulations. A strong focus on customer interaction, medication safety, and data confidentiality is required.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collect medications from designated pick-up points for delivery
Deliver drugs to client addresses accurately and promptly
Handle and store pharmaceutical items with care during transportation
Confirm recipient identity and collect signatures upon delivery
Maintain strict confidentiality of client medical and personal information
Communicate delivery updates and resolve minor issues professionally
Keep delivery logs and update records as required
Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on motorcycle
Adhere to all road safety laws and company delivery protocols
Report delivery confirmations, client feedback, or incidents to the supervisor

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in dispatch or delivery services
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or logistics industry is an advantage
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong time management and navigational skills
Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
Attention to detail and ability to verify delivery documentation
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Valid motorcycle rider’s license with a clean riding record
