Job Description
Dispatch Officer role at Nekses Investments in Lugazi, responsible for coordinating outbound dispatch activities, ensuring smooth handover between warehouse and drivers, vehicle allocation, dispatch quality checks, and timely release of orders.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the key link between the outbound picking team and drivers during dispatch
- Confirm all orders released for dispatch are complete, accurate, and ready for loading
- Coordinate with drivers to confirm route allocation, loading sequence, and delivery documents
- Track and confirm daily availability of vehicles for planned deliveries
- Coordinate correct use of vehicle sizes based on order volume and route plan
- Conduct final dispatch checks to ensure right products, quantities, and documents are loaded
- Maintain accurate dispatch records including vehicle, driver, and route assignment details
- Support timely follow-up on dispatch documentation and POD closure
