Job Description
The Digital Marketing and Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for creating effective digital fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms, including the DA website, social media, and email. The role includes conceptualising campaign strategies, writing compelling copy, and producing digital creative assets for events, webinars, ticket sales, and promotions. The incumbent will also oversee the generation of QR codes for campaigns, track and report on performance dashboards, and manage online fundraising initiatives at both provincial and national levels. The role requires strong creative, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver outcomes in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.

Develop and implement effective online fundraising campaigns on the DA website and digital platforms.
Write and edit digital copy for fundraising campaigns, promotions, and online activities.
Manage and execute digital fundraising campaigns via email, social media, and other channels.
Create and manage QR codes linked to online fundraising campaigns.
Produce digital creative assets for fundraising events, webinars, ticket sales, and promotional campaigns.
Track, analyse, and report campaign performance using dashboards and analytics tools.
Collaborate with provincial teams to execute regional digital fundraising campaigns.
Support front-end website development and online campaign management.
Ensure all content aligns with the DA’s branding and communication guidelines.
Assist with project management and coordination of fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in English, Communications, Marketing, Copywriting, or related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in digital copywriting (fundraising experience advantageous).
Experience in a wide range of marketing functions including communications, advertising, branding, and digital marketing.
Experience in front-end web development and management.
Dashboard tracking and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM systems.
Additional Advantages:
Project management experience.
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software.
Knowledge of QR code creation and management.
Familiarity with digital fundraising and online marketing tools.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Ability to conduct research and prepare professional communication.
Work independently with sound judgement.
Outcomes-orientated, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
