Job Description
The Digital and Innovation Specialist will analyze user and business requirements, design and write software programs, integrate systems, and resolve defects. The incumbent will collaborate across departments to implement technology solutions that improve business processes. They will also maintain system documentation, support ongoing digital projects, and adhere to risk, compliance, and security standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, programming skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging trends in software development and financial technologies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development
Experience in Java, Python, PHP, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP APIs
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Experience in software design, agile methodologies (Scrum), and DevOps practices
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Banking industry experience is an added advantage
Technical Competencies:
Software development lifecycle management
Agile project management
Source control systems (Git, SVN)
Knowledge of database systems and data analytics frameworks
Front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Software testing and deployment practices
Understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX)
Preferred Knowledge:
Banking product knowledge and financial services market trends
Project and program management
Machine learning and AI frameworks (added advantage)
