Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled individual to support the Commissioning Manager in the planning and execution of safe and efficient pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of the facility. Your role will be essential in meeting both production and performance goals, as well as ensuring McDermott's contractual obligations are met.
Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing materials and personnel under the Deputy Manager's supervision, ensuring a safe work environment on a Central Processing Facility in Africa.
Experience with OPERCOM and ICAPS on large-scale oil & gas projects is required.

How to Apply
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to foster positive relationships
Supervise and update commissioning deliverables
Contribute to systemization and system boundary mark-ups
Participate in design reviews and update commissioning schedules for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up
Oversee the creation of operating manuals and ensure procedures for utility and process systems are up-to-date
Manage commissioning spares, subcontracts, consumables, temporary equipment, and vendor services
Interface with the completions team, construction, and client personnel for all commissioning-related inspections and testing
Supervise commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client personnel during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring safety and efficiency
Collaborate with the Construction Contractor to inspect and accept systems deemed ready for commissioning
Participate in Completion Walkdowns, punch-list development, and clearing punch-list items
Help develop training programs for team members and client personnel
Implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
Work with local agencies to obtain required approvals and facilitate smooth commissioning and start-up
Contribute to the "lessons learned" database
Mentor junior commissioning team members
Essential Qualifications & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of experience in EPC projects, with at least 3 major oil & gas commissioning projects in a supervisory role
In-depth technical knowledge of construction and completion activities
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and non-engineers
Strong English communication skills, both oral and written; additional languages are a plus
Proficient in MS Office and skilled in presenting to Project Management and clients
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing needs
Capable of leading a commissioning project team and acting as the Commissioning Manager in their absence
