Supervises: None
Job Purpose
To develop and maintain data warehouse facilities that effectively meet the Bank’s business requirements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development, and maintenance of the Bank’s data architecture.
Analyse data requirements and design logical and physical data structures to support information needs across the institution.
Align data models with user business processes to ensure accuracy and usability.
Collaborate with relevant units to design, develop, and deploy appropriate data solutions in line with the Bank’s Enterprise Architecture.
Conduct unit testing to ensure solution quality and support user acceptance testing processes.
Provide input on data-related risks, standards, and policies for data usage, storage, distribution, and disposal.
Manage in-house departmental projects following the Agile development framework.
Document practices, policies, guidelines, manuals, and concept papers related to business intelligence solutions.
Offer technical support and third-level troubleshooting for developed solutions.
Coordinate tasks related to software deployment plans.
Provide input to quality assurance reviews of technical documentation to ensure alignment with Bank standards.
Prepare system change management documentation and implement application changes in line with change management policies.
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualification
A First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Data Scientist Associate, or Project Management Certification are considered an added advantage
Work Experience
No prior experience required
Age Requirement
Applicants must not exceed 30 years of age at the time of application deadline
Competencies
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of data warehouse design principles, architecture patterns, and industry best practices
Proficiency in Agile software development methods and project management processes
Experience in developing data integration and transformation solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis
Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git
Proficiency in using development environments like Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
Experience with project/task management tools such as Microsoft Planner or similar products
Advanced knowledge of SQL, including T-SQL and/or PL/SQL
Solid understanding of relational database systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of secure coding practices to meet information security standards
Additional experience with unit testing tools like PyUnit, pytest, xUnit, or NUnit is an added advantage
