The Regional Service Centre in Entebbe, Uganda (RSCE), was established in July 2010, following the adoption of General Assembly resolution 64/269. The Centre provides efficient, client-oriented and scalable services with the goal of moving transactional, non-location dependent administrative functions to the Centre from its client entities. This includes transactional elements of human resources, finance, multimodal movement and control, personnel and cargo transport and information and communications technology (ICT) support.
In addition to these services, the Office of the Director RSCE and the Deputy provides overall guidance on the operations of the RSCE including strategic planning, communication, budgeting, human resources management, property management, quality assurance and business intelligence, conference services, record keeping and archive management, and audit response and risk management.

Organizational Context
The Department of Operational Support (DOS) was created to deliver comprehensive operational support and advisory services to United Nations entities, including peace operations, regional commissions, and offices away from headquarters.
The Regional Service Centre in Entebbe (RSCE) was established in July 2010 by General Assembly resolution 64/269. RSCE provides efficient, client-focused, and scalable services in areas such as human resources, finance, logistics, transport, ICT, and business intelligence.
The internship position is located in the Quality Assurance and Business Intelligence Unit (QABI) at the RSCE. The selected intern will report directly to the Chief of Unit and work alongside a team dedicated to improving data-driven decision-making across the Centre.

How to Apply
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will support the QABI Unit with tasks including but not limited to:
Collaborating with the QABI team to support internal clients and implement tailored solutions based on collected requirements.
Performing data mining and transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
Assisting in the preparation of data analyses, visualizations, and performance reports to influence management strategies and outcomes.
Supporting the documentation of QABI processes and solutions using established templates, including the creation of job aids and user guides.
