Job Description
Job Title: Data/BI Analyst (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: C-Care Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary: Transform raw data into meaningful insights, dashboards, and reports that support decision-making, performance management, and strategic planning.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into analytical requirements.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., Power BI) for operations, finance, quality, and management.
Perform data analysis, trend evaluation, and root-cause investigations.
Validate data against source systems and collaborate with Data Engineers to resolve data quality issues.
Create and maintain standardized KPIs, metric definitions, and reporting templates.
Produce periodic performance reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad-hoc analyses.
Provide clear, actionable commentary on insights, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Train and support business users on self-service BI and interpretation of metrics.
Document dashboards, data sources, definitions, and business rules.
Contribute to analytics roadmap and identify opportunities for advanced analytics/ML use cases.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
2-4+ years’ experience in data analysis, BI, or reporting.
Strong experience with at least one BI tool (e.g., Power BI)
and solid visualization design skills.
Proficient in SQL for querying and joining data sets.
Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable with descriptive statistics and basic modeling.
Ability to translate complex data into simple, clear stories and recommendations.
High attention to detail, data accuracy, and consistency.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
