About the Role
As a Customer Service Executive – Social Media, you’ll be the voice of Sun King across our digital platforms. Your role will involve engaging with customers online, resolving inquiries with care, nurturing leads, and building strong brand loyalty through positive, impactful communication. This is a key position within our customer experience team, with a direct influence on customer satisfaction and sales performance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Support: Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, messages, and comments across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, and new/emerging channels. Deliver prompt, professional, and helpful responses that reflect Sun King’s brand values.
Lead Management & Conversion; Identify and engage potential customers via social media. Provide clear, informative guidance to help them understand products and move confidently through the purchase process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales and customer experience teams to escalate issues, transfer qualified leads, and ensure a seamless customer journey from first contact to post-sale support.
Brand Representation & Advocacy: Represent Sun King’s mission and commitment to sustainability and energy access in every interaction. Promote trust, confidence, and customer loyalty through positive engagement.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions using CRM tools (e.g., Zendesk, Ameyo) and provide insights on trends, recurring concerns, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in social media customer service, community management, or a similar role.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple conversations and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-first attitude
Familiarity with digital tools and CRM systems (e.g., Zendesk, Ameyo)
Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
A team player with a collaborative mindset
Language Proficiency:
Required: English and Luganda
Preferred: Fluency in at least one local language from Western, Northern, Eastern, or Central Uganda
