Job Description
Job Title: Country Sales Manager - Civil Servants’ Loans
Location: Uganda
We are seeking highly skilled, results-oriented, and experienced sales professionals for the role of Country Sales Manager – Civil Servants’ Loans. The successful candidate will oversee sales and operational activities, including planning, direction, and management of the sales team across the country. The role involves implementing strategies to meet performance goals related to sales growth, market share, stakeholder relationship management, and people management within the branches under direct control.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and mentor regional managers across various zones to ensure the achievement of national sales targets.
Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to drive institutional growth in both existing and new markets.
Grow and maintain the portfolio in each region, ensuring that all Regional Sales Managers and Team Leaders meet their sales targets.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of regional managers and their teams.
Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and effective problem resolution across all regions.
Monitor and evaluate regional performance, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
Provide regular reports on national performance, sales targets, and market trends to senior management.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment across the country.
Implement technology initiatives aimed at business growth and improving operational efficiency.
Identify and nurture the talents of the sales team across the country.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualification Requirements:
A degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Studies, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Proven track record of integrity and knowledge in credit activities.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player and a self-starter, focused on achieving set targets.
Creative problem-solving skills, able to thrive under pressure in an aggressive sales environment.
At least 7 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within a financial or insurance institution, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on fostering a high-performance culture within the team.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies to achieve business growth and exceed sales targets.
Support regional managers in marketing the institution’s products to potential clients.
Advise clients on borrowing and loan management, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Identify and mitigate credit risks in line with institutional policies.
Ensure the timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports from regions.
Coordinate with HR to meet staffing and training needs.
Maintain a strong market presence, representing the institution at key events and meetings.
Initiate and coordinate efforts to penetrate new markets.
Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress, address goals, and assess individual performance.
Responsible for achieving market share growth.
