Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Overall strategic, programmatic and operational leadership of the FRC operations in Uganda. Development and implementation of FRC Uganda Country Strategy.
• External Engagement and Representation: FRC representation towards national and regional authorities and other stakeholders and coordination mechanisms, building partnerships and presence.
• Resource Mobilization: Development and implementation of successful strategies for securing funds and resources.
• Programme and Portfolio Management: Overall responsibility for the implementation of the Country Programme and projects in Uganda. Overall control, monitoring and timely reporting on the use of funds and achievement of results.
• Operational quality: Leadership to ensuring high-level compliance with operational standards and both risk and security management of the country office, programme and operations. Effective management of the Country Office.
• People Leadership: Motivational lead and supervision of the team of staff promoting strong culture of cooperation, performance, accountability and staff well-being.
• The Country Director reports to FRC Headquarters in Helsinki.
