In 2008, two young Australians, Annabelle Chauncy OAM and David Everett OAM, saw firsthand how a lack of access to education was keeping communities trapped in poverty. But they didn’t want to give handouts — they wanted to create lasting solutions. So they partnered with local leaders in Uganda to build a school that offered more than just academics. A place where children could learn, eat, grow, and be cared for. Where teachers were respected, and communities were transformed.
