Job Description
Administer company costing system in the ERP, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administer company costing system in the ERP, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data at all times.
Ensure pricing of company products in line with approved policies at all times.
Coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual stock counts, Work in Progress (WIP) valuation, reconciliation and investigation of variances for corrective action.
Coordinate preparation of annual corporate budgets-origination to approval.
Prepare variance analytics reports (annual vs budgeted performance) and follow up with budget owners.
Liaise with line managers to identify areas of wastage with recommended remedial measures.
Prepare periodic management reports, ie cost and margin analysis reports among others.
Administer company product manufacturing module in the ERP.
Ensure appropriate controls are observed in job opening, completion and closure processes.
Monitor daily activities such as purchases to ensure costs are within approved budgets.
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field,
Professional qualification in CPA/ACCA
Minimum of 5years proven experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Inventory management and familiar with cost pricing, factory analytics and track cost efficiencies
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting
