Job Description
The Contracting Management Advisor III translates project objectives into robust Contracting & Materials Management Strategies, facilitates Contracting Strategy Workshops, and stewards prequalification, bid slates, bid review plans, award recommendations, and contract administration (including incentives and claim resolution). The Advisor partners with Project Management to resolve quality/commercial issues, aligns Engineering/Procurement/Construction interfaces, and embeds lessons learned and business controls. The role mentors Contracts Engineers/EPC Specialists, delivers contracting training (CPDA, Bid Review, ACSM), engages contractor executives and partners, and evaluates organizational systems, processes, and competencies to drive continuous improvement.

How to Apply
Develop and socialize Contracting & Materials Management Strategies aligned to project goals and partner requirements.
Lead/participate in Contracting Strategy Workshops (CSWs); apply market intelligence to select lead/fallback options.
Oversee prequalification and bid slate development; ensure critical success criteria drive bid review plans.
Support contract award recommendations and guide complex administration (incentives, major claims).
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to ensure seamless execution and change control.
Mentor and upskill SMEs, EPC Specialists, and Contracts Engineers; deliver sponsored courses (CPDA, Bid Review, ACSM).
Engage contractor executive management and JV partners; strengthen strategic relationships and resolve critical issues.
Champion continuous improvement, lessons learned, and compliance with business standards/controls (e.g., DOAG).
Provide status reporting on contracting activities; maintain documentation to audit-ready standards.
Travel to project sites (domestic/overseas) as required.
Education: BSc/BA/HND in Engineering (BSc in Engineering required); MBA/MSc is an advantage.
Experience: 10–25 years in contracts engineering/administration/materials management with proven project leadership; major project owner/operator experience preferred.
Technical/Commercial: Strong grasp of project execution and contracting principles; expert in negotiations, contractor management, incentives, claims, and contract administration.
Business Controls: Familiarity with company controls requirements (e.g., DOAG, Business Standards).
Skills: Advanced analytical/judgment; strong written/oral communication; ability to interpret technical procedures/regulations; proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, resilient under pressure; willing to travel/relocate to project sites.
