Job Description
The Consultant Paediatrician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to paediatric patients, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role emphasizes child-centred care, patient safety, and active family engagement. Duties include conducting evidence-based medical evaluations, performing paediatric diagnostic procedures, and collaborating with subspecialists. The Consultant will mentor junior clinicians and participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs. In addition, the role involves contributing to research, audits, and quality improvement efforts within the paediatric department.

Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s degree in Paediatrics & Child Health from a recognized institution
Specialist recognition in Paediatrics by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
Valid KMPDC practice license
Minimum of 5 years post-specialist recognition experience
Competencies:
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficient in medical IT systems and data protection standards
