Job Description
Evidence Action is looking for a field-based Community Services Assistant in Mbale to maintain chlorine dispensers and lead community water safety education.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Installing chlorine dispensers at water points following technical specifications
- Delivering chlorine by motorcycle to designated dispensers
- Conducting hardware service and maintenance through regular spot checks
- Ensuring safe handling, storage, and accountability of chlorine stocks
- Maintaining accurate records for inventory tracking and reporting
- Engaging communities through meetings and outreach to raise awareness of safe water practices
- Collaborating with community promoters to sustain dispenser usage
- Facilitating weekly check-ins with lead promoters to resolve operational issues
- Collecting and reporting field data using smartphones
- Reporting challenges and dispenser performance issues to supervisors
