Job Description

The Communications Graduate Volunteer works closely with field communication focal persons to capture, document and develop communications around project activities. This role involves cultivating content for brand, marketing, and fundraising channels while ensuring proper branding of visibility materials.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:Content Collection & Storytelling
  • Visit field locations to capture images, videos, and stories of impact.
  • Interview staff, patients, and partners (with consent) to develop compelling human-interest stories.
  • Process and upload photos, stories, and videos into Medical Teams’ content management systems.
  • Maintain and manage country camera gear.
Branding & Visibility
  • Ensure visibility and branding materials (signposts, brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, etc.) comply with Medical Teams and donor guidelines.
  • Coordinate with HQ Brand and Communications team for design and compliance support.
Communication Support
  • Collect and edit content from the field for use in reports, proposals, newsletters, and media releases.
  • Update and manage the country SharePoint communications page.
  • Support preparation of program reports and visibility materials for institutional donors.
  • Assist in organizing and documenting events and campaigns.
Capacity Building & Collaboration
  • Support field communication focal points with guidance and training on photo and story collection.
  • Participate in global content community calls, trainings, and knowledge sharing.
Safeguarding & Compliance
  • Promote and uphold Medical Teams’ safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults.
  • Conduct yourself with integrity and respect, consistent with Medical Teams’ Code of Conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
