Job Description
The Central Tree Nursery Coordinator is responsible for leading the establishment, management, and continuous improvement of Central Tree Nursery operations within the assigned region, ensuring efficient production, quality assurance, and timely distribution of high-quality tree seedlings.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead establishment and operational management of Central Tree Nurseries
- Provide strategic leadership for nursery operations, seedling production, and quality assurance
- Supervise, coach, and mentor CTN staff including Nursery Attendants and Grafting Technicians
- Develop regional nursery production strategies and annual work plans
- Oversee propagation, grafting, production, and distribution of seedlings
- Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures and quality assurance systems
- Strengthen regional seed and propagation systems
- Collaborate with Program teams and stakeholders on farmer capacity building
- Manage CTN budgets, expenditures, and production records
- Ensure compliance with environmental safeguards and health and safety standards
