Job Description
The Cashier will support daily financial operations including cash handling, receipting, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and financial record management, reporting directly to the Head of Accounts.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
The Cashier will:
- Receive and issue receipts for payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
- Maintain proper cash records and prepare daily cash summaries. 
- Perform cashbook management and assist in bank deposits and withdrawals. 
- Conduct daily and periodic reconciliations for cash, bank, and accounting records. 
- Support bookkeeping functions using accounting systems, including QuickBooks. 
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records. 
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies. 
- Report to the Head of Accounts and assist in preparing financial reports when required. 
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Experience & Skills:
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures 
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required 
- Good understanding of reconciliation processes 
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
- Good communication and interpersonal skills 
- Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines 
- Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
