Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect and examine railway carriages and wagons for mechanical defects, wear, and safety compliance
- Carry out brake tests, wheel checks, coupling inspections, and other standard examinations
- Certify carriages and wagons as fit or unfit for service based on inspection findings
- Record inspection results and complete examination certificates accurately
- Report defects to supervisors and ensure timely repairs are arranged
- Follow all railway safety rules and procedures during examinations
