Job Description
The CAD Technician / AutoCAD Specialist will be responsible for translating conceptual designs into technical drawings using AutoCAD. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to ensure all project drawings meet specifications and industry codes. The specialist will manage drawing revisions, maintain organized CAD files, and contribute technical expertise during project execution. A high level of attention to detail and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is essential for this role.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Translate conceptual sketches and design instructions into accurate CAD drawings
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to capture design requirements
Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions
Ensure proper version control and backup of all CAD files
Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications and industry standards
Provide technical input and support throughout project planning and execution

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
HND or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); familiarity with other CAD software is an advantage
Strong understanding of engineering or architectural drawings and specifications
Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and communication skills
