How to Apply
1. Digital Assistance Services
Support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital platforms used in food assistance programmes.
Train staff and partners on the use of digital assistance tools to ensure effective and independent usage.
Provide technical support to WFP beneficiaries, partners, and staff in accessing and utilizing digital assistance systems.
2. Data Management & Analytics
Ensure digital tools are available and operational for accurate, timely data collection, including identity management and distribution tracking.
Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Assist in analyzing programme data and prepare reports that support decision-making and programme improvements.
3. Foundational IT Support
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers, printers, and network devices.
Provide first-level IT support to Area and Field Office staff, resolving hardware and software issues.
Install and update software applications, ensuring systems remain secure and efficient.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and monitor proper usage.
Monitor network performance and implement IT security measures to protect systems and data.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems, processes, and user guides to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Ensure compliance with WFP’s identity management, IT, and data protection policies.
Perform any other related duties as required.
Education:
Completion of secondary school education is required.
A post-secondary certificate in a relevant functional area is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Innovations, or a related field is a strong advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in IT support, data management, or digital assistance.
Experience in humanitarian or development contexts is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, digital tools, and data management systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in supporting digital platforms and tools.
Strong knowledge of data management principles and systems.
Familiar with network infrastructure and IT security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Capable of training users with varied levels of technical expertise.
Highly organized and attentive to data quality and detail.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in challenging field environments.
Strong customer service mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Languages:
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
