Job Description
Own a complex portfolio of business clients: drive acquisition, retention and growth; analyse financials and risk; prepare and motivate credit applications; manage pricing and profitability; ensure regulatory compliance (FAIS/FICA); and coordinate multi-product solutions across Capitec’s business banking offerings. Lead portfolio planning, cost control and sales management while leveraging CRM insights to shape client strategy.

How to Apply
Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients (acquire, retain, cross-sell).
Prepare, motivate and defend high-quality credit applications; manage securities and conditions.
Analyse client financials, sector trends and risk; design tailored banking solutions.
Execute sales plans, manage pipeline, pricing, and profitability; control portfolio costs.
Apply CRM insights to personalise engagement and improve retention.
Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA and internal policies; maintain accurate documentation.
Build senior relationships across client organisations; resolve complex service issues.
Collaborate with internal specialists (credit, product, operations) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Track performance vs. targets; report on portfolio health and growth initiatives.
Qualifications (Minimum)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance.
Qualifications (Ideal/Preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance.
Experience (Minimum)
5+ years banking, with 3+ years in Business Banking.
Managing complex business customer portfolios (service + financial analysis).
Significant experience preparing/motivating credit applications.
Cost control and sales management.
Experience (Ideal)
1–2 years managerial/leadership experience.
1–2 years managing a small business centre.
Knowledge (Minimum)
Business economics and SA business environment.
CRM principles; local market sales practices.
Sector risks (incl. agriculture if applicable).
General banking procedures; competitor offerings.
Credit principles (applications, securities).
Legal entities and regulatory requirements.
FAIS and FICA; Business Banking admin processes.
Business/industry/financial risks for the business market.
Knowledge (Ideal)
Capitec product suite, multi-level pricing, taxation basics, Business Banking processes.
Financial modelling, ABC costing, advanced financial analysis, complex cash-flow cycles.
Skills
Interpersonal & relationship management; communication & influencing.
Analytical, commercial & strategic thinking; problem-solving; decision-making.
Negotiation; attention to detail; MS Word/Excel/Outlook proficiency.
