Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will research customer buying patterns and data usage trends across MTN’s regional markets, providing comprehensive insights into customer behaviour. You will extract and clean data from multiple internal and external sources, perform statistical analysis, and create dashboards, reports, and presentations for decision-making. The role includes monitoring business performance metrics, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and providing actionable recommendations. You will also work closely with IT to ensure data integrity and availability, support the automation of customer analytics systems, and make recommendations for campaign optimisation. Additionally, you will contribute to operational planning by considering long-term implications, competitor activity, and identifying innovative methods to enhance business growth.

How to Apply
Research and analyse customer buying and data usage patterns.
Extract, clean, and validate data from internal and external sources.
Conduct SWOT analyses for regional segments.
Report on key performance metrics in line with business objectives.
Provide insights and recommendations to support business intelligence initiatives.
Develop graphs, reports, dashboards, and presentations of analysis results.
Perform statistical analysis and generate standard monthly and ad hoc reports.
Prioritise data requests and coordinate with IT for data availability and integrity.
Support automation of customer analytics systems and processes.
Provide recommendations for campaign consolidation and optimisation.
Plan and coordinate data extraction and reporting processes.
Identify and implement innovative ways to improve data efficiency and outputs.
Education:
3-year Degree/Diploma in Commerce (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related specialization.
Experience supervising others (advantageous).
Experience in medium-sized organizations.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong statistical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard tools.
Knowledge of data systems and applications (e.g., USD/JAZZ).
Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple requests and meet deadlines.
Strong business acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
