Job Description

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Drive revenue growth by managing existing distributors and onboarding new ones.

  • Generate leads through cold calling, prospecting, and relationship-building.

  • Ensure distributor customer data is accurate, updated, and reliable.

  • Collaborate with call center agents to achieve regional collections targets.

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and emerging markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at distributor and partner organizations.

  • Deliver KUZA-specific training to distributors and their teams to enhance customer conversion.

  • Support marketing initiatives and provide timely reports on market trends, opportunities, and customer feedback.

  • Contribute to business intelligence and management reporting.

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development with proven B2B or B2C customer-facing roles.

  • Mandatory FMCG industry experience.

  • Strong background in sales and marketing.

  • Prior team leadership experience, with ability to engage high-value distributors and manufacturers.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong time management, organizational, and reporting skills.

  • Proactive, energetic, solution-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work independently and in teams.
