Job Description
As a Breakdown Technician, you will provide technical support by responding promptly to equipment failures, conducting repairs, and ensuring minimal downtime for client operations. Your responsibilities include performing installations and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns, and escalating complex issues when necessary. You will also be required to complete service reports, job cards, and compliance documentation accurately and on time. The position demands a professional approach to safety and customer requirements, as well as maintaining high standards of workmanship. Flexibility and resilience are essential, as the role involves travel, overtime, and working both underground and on surface mining sites.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Certifications:
Qualified Artisan (Red Seal) – Electrician or Automotive Electrician.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a technical or field services role.
Requirements:
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel and work overtime.
Medically fit to work in mining environments (both underground and surface).
Skills and Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns.
Professional communication and reporting skills.
Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
