Job Description
The Big Truck/Trailer Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently over long and short distances, maintaining vehicles in good working condition, and complying with road safety regulations. This role is critical to the timely delivery of materials and products, supporting the company’s production and supply chain operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate and drive big trucks or trailers to transport goods to various locations safely.
- Ensure the vehicle is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Report any accidents, damages, or mechanical issues promptly to management.
- Follow all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company transport policies.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking oil, brakes, lights, and tire pressure.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
- Demonstrate professional behavior and excellent customer service when interacting with clients or site personnel.
