Job Description
The Bar and Restaurant Manager will take full responsibility for establishing and running the bar and restaurant. This is a startup leadership role suited for a proactive and assertive professional who can create systems build teams drive sales and maintain high service standards in a fast paced environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and high customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for bar kitchen service and maintenance
- Ensure cleanliness hygiene ambiance and safety standards are consistently maintained
- Coordinate procurement of stock consumables and equipment with suppliers
- Manage food and beverage quality pricing and presentation standards
Staff Leadership and Management
- Recruit train supervise and motivate bar restaurant and support staff
- Prepare duty rosters monitor attendance and enforce discipline and professionalism
- Create a positive work culture focused on teamwork accountability and service excellence
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews coaching and mentoring
- Handle staff welfare and day to day people management issues
Financial and Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate daily sales purchases and stock records
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory checks for bar and kitchen
- Control wastage pilferage and losses through effective stock control
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly operational and financial reports
- Work with management to set achieve and monitor sales and profit targets
Marketing Promotion and Customer Growth
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase visibility and customer traffic
- Plan and execute themed nights live music events happy hours and seasonal promotions
- Build partnerships with DJs influencers and event organizers
- Engage customers to build loyalty and encourage repeat business
- Oversee and maintain an active and attractive social media presence
Problem Solving and Compliance
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally
- Anticipate operational challenges and implement proactive solutions
- Ensure compliance with health safety and licensing regulations
