Job Description
The Agricultural Project Officer will lead the planning and implementation of all agriculture related activities. The role focuses on enterprise development skills training mentorship and the integration of climate smart agriculture practices. The officer will support the transformation of the farm into a sustainable social enterprise and enhance the learning and reintegration experience for street connected children and youth.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor agricultural skills training in crop and animal production
- Provide technical guidance to farm staff and youth trainees
- Coordinate seasonal production cycles and manage demonstration plots
- Ensure the training farm meets UVTAB training and assessment standards
- Document outcomes and support learning and knowledge sharing
- Engage stakeholders including extension workers parents and local leaders
- Uphold child protection safeguarding and welfare standards in all activities
