Job Description
The Banqueting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, setup, and execution of banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events. The role ensures high-quality service delivery, effective staff supervision, and seamless coordination between the banqueting, kitchen, and events teams to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily banqueting operations to ensure events are executed according to event orders and hotel standards.
- Coordinate event setups, service flow, and breakdown activities.
- Allocate duties and supervise banqueting staff during events.
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage service, presentation, and guest interaction.
- Liaise with the kitchen and events teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
- Enforce health, safety, hygiene, and service standards at all times.
- Train, coach, and motivate banqueting staff to enhance performance and service quality.
- Monitor equipment, inventory, and cleanliness of banquet areas.
- Prepare shift reports and provide feedback to management.
