Job Description
The Audit Assistant II will assist in conducting various audits, verify assets, prepare audit schedules, collect evidence, review documents, and ensure accountability in financial and operational processes. The officer will also maintain proper audit documentation, contribute to audit inquiries, and support the team in delivering timely and effective audit services.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits.
Prepare working papers on audit assignments.
Ensure proper filing of internal audit documents.
Physically verify assets during fixed asset audits.
Conduct audit inquiries on operations under review.
Inspect relevant financial and operational records and documents.
Perform substantive tests on assigned audit engagements.
Review filing of accountable documents.
Prepare audit schedules and collect audit evidence.
Carry out specific audit assignments as directed.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent from a recognized university.
Professional: CPA II (Section 3) or equivalent; knowledge of ERP systems.
Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant work experience, with three (3) years at Audit Assistant III or equivalent level.
Skills:
Strong analytical and auditing skills.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Good computational and computer proficiency skills.
Interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
High integrity, honesty, independence, and innovativeness.
