Associate Consultant – Paediatrics and Child Health – Anaesthesia (4 Positions) Job at EMERGENCY

Job Description
EMERGENCY is seeking highly qualified and committed Associate Consultants in Paediatrics and Child Health (Anaesthesia) to join the clinical team at the Children’s Surgical Hospital in Entebbe. The successful candidates will provide specialized pediatric anesthesia and peri-operative care while supporting the hospital’s mission of delivering free, high-quality surgical services to children.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective pediatric anesthesia services for elective and emergency surgeries.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up of pediatric patients.
- Participate in operating theatre sessions, ward rounds, and on-call duties.
- Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees.
- Ensure accurate documentation of anesthesia records and patient care notes.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and case reviews.
- Uphold EMERGENCY’s values of ethics, integrity, and patient-centered care.
- Support training and capacity-building initiatives within the hospital.
