Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy IT Associate to support the retail technology infrastructure across our Uganda operations. This role ensures the smooth functioning of in-store and back-office systems, including POS, inventory tools, and connected retail technologies, contributing to an efficient and customer-centric retail experience.

How to Apply
Retail System Support: Maintain and troubleshoot POS terminals, barcode scanners, printers, payment systems, and related in-store hardware to ensure seamless daily operations.
Software Configuration & Support: Assist with the configuration, updates, and support of retail software systems such as inventory management, CRM, ERP, and e-commerce platforms.
Technical Assistance: Provide first-level IT support to store and office staff, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking in a timely and professional manner.
Network & Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain reliable store network connectivity, including Wi-Fi, servers, and backup systems, reducing downtime risks.
Device & Hardware Management: Set up and maintain computers, tablets, handheld scanners, and digital signage across retail locations.
Security Compliance: Adhere to IT security protocols to protect customer data, transaction records, and company systems from cyber threats and breaches.
System Integration: Support the integration of physical inventory systems with digital platforms to enable real-time stock tracking and accuracy.
Technology Implementation: Assist in deploying new technologies, such as self-checkout systems, mobile apps, cloud-based solutions, and other retail innovations.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure role
Hands-on experience with URA EFRIS support is mandatory
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic retail environment
