Kinyara Sugar Limited invites applications from both female and male candidates for Apprenticeship training, leading to City & Guilds Diploma qualifications in any one of the five different Engineering Trades, namely:

Apprenticeship Program
The Apprenticeship program lasts three and a half years. Candidates who successfully pass the interviews will initially be offered a one-year contract. This contract will be renewed annually if the Apprentice successfully completes the year.

Assisting Experienced Mechanics:
Work alongside skilled mechanics to learn about different vehicle systems, tools, and repair techniques.
Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Support mechanics in more complex repairs, such as engine diagnostics, brake replacements, and transmission repairs.
Learning Diagnostic Procedures:
Use diagnostic tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced mechanics to identify vehicle problems.
Learn to interpret diagnostic codes and assess the condition of various automotive systems.
Participate in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, learning to identify the root causes of problems.
Performing Basic Repairs and Maintenance:
Conduct basic automotive repairs, such as replacing filters, batteries, and light bulbs, as instructed by supervisors.
Assist in repairing and replacing worn or damaged parts, including belts, hoses, and brakes.
Learn to perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and in good working condition.
Must have sat O-LEVEL NOT MORE THAN THREE YEARS AGO at the time of applying and must have obtained a minimum of CREDIT PASSES in the following subjects: ENGLISH LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS, and PHYSICS or PHYSICAL SCIENCE. A credit in TECHNICAL DRAWING will have an added advantage.
Must be NOT MORE THAN 22 YEARS at the time of applying.
Candidates who have good passes in MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS, or BUILDING MECHANICAL DRAWING at A-Level will have an added advantage.
