Job Description
The role involves the management and oversight of credit risks arising from a diverse portfolio linked to lending, trading, and investing activities. The Analyst will assess credit risk exposures, ensure compliance with internal credit procedures, policies, and standards, and document risks appropriately. The role also requires a basic understanding of investment banking products, derivative products, and their associated risks. The Analyst must maintain an awareness of financial markets, the global economy, and regional factors affecting the portfolio, while actively participating in risk evaluation and measurement processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and monitor a portfolio of counterparty credit risks.
Assess and document credit risks associated with lending, trading, and investing activities.
Ensure compliance with credit procedures, policies, and standards.
Understand and apply risk and regulatory requirements in daily operations.
Develop a basic understanding of investment banking vanilla lending and derivative products.
Evaluate risk management effectiveness and identify potential risks.
Analyze financial markets and regional economic conditions impacting the portfolio.
Measure and report risk exposures appropriately.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Minimum Degree in Business Commerce, Risk Management, or Finance.
Experience:
1–2 years of experience with conceptual and practical knowledge of credit procedures, policies, and standards.
1–2 years of understanding of products and facilities giving rise to counterparty credit risk, including proper documentation practices.
1–2 years of basic understanding of Investment Banking vanilla lending, derivative products, and related documentation.
1–2 years of knowledge of financial markets and global and regional economies.
