Job Description
Job Title: Ambulance Driver
Organisation: Jungle Medical Missions Uganda (JMMU)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Ambulance Driver will be responsible for operating and driving the ambulance in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to transport patients, medical staff, and equipment between the scene of an emergency and medical facilities. The role involves assisting paramedics or emergency medical technicians in patient care and ensuring the proper maintenance of the ambulance and equipment.

How to Apply
Operate the ambulance in accordance with traffic laws, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients and medical personnel.
Navigate the most efficient routes to reach the destination promptly, especially in emergency situations.
Ensure the ambulance is always fueled, stocked, and ready for immediate utilization.
Coordinate with dispatch and medical personnel to ensure timely response and smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff to ensure smooth transitions during transport.
Carrying out basic maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle
Reporting major technical mechanical faults to the supervising officer
Maintaining basic records regarding the vehicle as instructed
Ensuring the safety of the vehicle while on duty
Any other duties will be assigned from time to time

Uganda certificate of education (UCE) with pass in English language
Certificate in defensive driving.
Valid Driving permit of Class C or D.
