About the Role
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Officer, the Air Compressor Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all industrial air compressors within the plant. The role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to guarantee consistent air supply to all production units.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze the performance of all compressors to ensure optimal air supply with minimal energy consumption and no leakages.
Perform quick troubleshooting and repair of breakdowns on all large industrial compressors.
Develop, implement, and track preventive maintenance schedules for all compressors.
Plan and follow up on preventive maintenance requirements, including the availability of recommended spare parts.
Coordinate with service providers to ensure timely execution of scheduled compressor maintenance.
Maintain and manage essential spare parts inventory in consultation with the Mechanical Maintenance Officer.
Keep accurate maintenance records and provide regular reports to relevant stakeholders.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Mechanical Maintenance Officer.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Option) or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working experience in the maintenance of industrial screw and reciprocating air compressors within a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Attributes
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Good analytical and mathematical ability.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment
