Job Description
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Head of the Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO) under the overall leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator. The role involves supporting the UN Development System to delivery more effectively and efficiently toward the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through administrative, HR, and financial support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Human Resources Management: Initiates, reviews, processes and follows-up actions related to recruitment, placement, promotion, performance appraisal, and training, ensuring consistency with UN rules.
- Budget and Finance: Assists in preparing financial proposals, monitoring expenditures against approved budgets, and preparing budget performance reports.
- General Administration: Drafts routine correspondence, coordinates with internal team members, manages operational travel programs, and monitors payments to vendors.
- Data and Reporting: Assists with collection and analysis of data, preparation of presentations, and updating information material like web pages or brochures.
- Security Focal Point: Serves as security focal point for the Office, attending Security Cell meetings and supporting the Resident Coordinator in Security Management Team (SMT) meetings.
- Contract Administration: Assists with day-to-day administration of contracts, audits contractor invoices, and processes payments.
